LIZ HARRIS (GROUPER), THE TENSES (SMEGMA), JOHNNY X AND THE GROADIES,
WHY I MUST BE CAREFUL, GHOST TO FALCO
@ The Artistery, March 10, 2011
This is a jam packed show full of favorites and friends. You also better be spending as much time as you can at The Artistery because this is their last week! Liz Harris (Grouper), The Tenses (Smegma), Johnny X and the Groadies, Why I Must Be Careful, and Ghost to Falco are coming to share their love with the space and give you such a good night!

Jim Jarmusch Night @ The Waypost,
Regardless of when you last saw Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai, it’s probably time for you to see it again. As the Dog himself would say, “The Way of the Samurai is one of immediacy, and it is best to dash in headlong.”

Dandy Warhols, Typhoon, Y La Bamba @ University Chapel,
Here comes another Google Hotpot event. I went to one and saw The Thermals while rollerskating and I have to say: It was pretty damn fun. Dandy Warhols, Typhoon and Y La Bamba - in a church. A chapel. Whatever you call it – its a strange pairing of bands and sure to be a good FREE time!

Snack Attack: Guidance Counselor, Wampire, Forbidden Friends and more @ Holocene,
Snack Attack!!! So much good music with literal snacks baked by the bands. Yum. Thanks Holocene! This year’s event features live music from: Guidance Counselor, Forbidden Friends (Hutch Harris), Unkle Funkle (Chris Uehlein of White Fang). With
DJ Snakks (Zack Osterlund of Breakfast Mountain) bringing you a dance party. Plus a live cooking show with Wampire and more! Seriously!

Interview with Kyle Field of Little Wings,
I first listened to Kyle Field, the front man of Little Wings, through headphones while driving across Bali on a motorcycle. Needless to say, excellent first impression. And though I’ll forever associate his songs with the wandering mind and wind on face that comes with fast engines, sunshine and views of water, they are good no matter where you hear them.
