Loose Hands Lunging is a new experimental, contemporary dance project that began as an inquiry into how the dancing body responds to and materializes change and loss. The dancing body is viewed as both storyteller and object, shifting in and out of psychic, emotional and architectural spaces. Interested in live composition, the performers are asked to explore strategies in composing the dance and music in the moment
“Circe Ward‘s paintings reflect upon the collective unconscious. By re-appropriating personal experiences, Ward creates visual work that presents how our minds sequentially file experiences while organizing data to produce meaning”
