Guitar Wolf @ Dante’s, May 26, 2011
If you are unfamiliar with Guitar Wolf, do something about that now. From Japan, they created Jet Rock N’ Roll, starred in my favorite zombie flick, Wild Zero, are known to use mics that spew fire and play an entire set without stopping. In short, they shred. With Cheap Time and The Flip Tops at Dantes.

Dill Pickle Club Presents: Voices of Portland @ Project Grow,
Voices of Portland documents the history of Portland’s neighborhoods through oral histories conducted in the mid 1970s. Self-published by Christine Emenc with a CETA grant in 1976, the book presents a conversational and non-authoritative telling of changes in the city. PDX RE-PRINT invites you to celebrate with them the reprinting of this out-of-print book with a panel discussion on Portland’s development, approaches to oral histories and ethnography at one of our favorite organization’s locations Project Grow! They will also be sharing original audio recordings from the book project, on loan from Oregon Historical Society
