I am so excited about this new event – and not just because I’m one of the people hosting it. SHARE brings together artists, collectors, and the community offering a chance to watch the artistic process in an informal setting, gain access to unusually affordable artworks while benefiting CHARITY:WATER. YES!
So what does that mean? A dozen or so of your favorite (or soon to be) artists coming together to make work which will be put up for sale throughout the night. The profits of which will be donated to this amazing organization while DJ Ramophone plays music, friends drink beers, Picture Parlour snaps your photo, and you hang out in 100 year old police stables. We hope to see you there!
A partial list of the featured artists include:
Mark Warren Jacques
Timothy Karpinksi
Chase Velarde
Stephanie Benhaim
Morgaine Faye
Lynn Yarne
David Wein
Alec Zemper
Sohaila Adela
The Stables was started by Joe Schlaud and Alec Zemper in the fall of 2010. The building is an early 1900′s police stables renovated into a gallery and artist studio. They hold figure drawing classes every Monday and Thursday from 7-9pm.
